California Academy

of Sciences

Located in the iconic Golden Gate Park, the California Academy of the Sciences hosts a history museum, planetarium, aquarium and so much more!

Legion of Honor

Located in Lincoln Park, Legion of Honor is a fine arts museum with European art, crafts, ceramics and furnishings. It also has an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Castro

The Castro District is synonymous with gay culture.  The lavish Castro Theatre and the GLBT Historic Museum are also found here, as are homey restaurants and adult shops. On Market Street, 19th-century F-line streetcars head to Fisherman’s Wharf.


The Exploratorium at Pier 15 is a gateway to exploring science, art, and human perception with every visit. More than 600 interactive exhibits, many focused on noticing and observation, in six spacious indoor and outdoor galleries.
